Where to fly into

The nearest airport to us is the <a href="https://www.longbeach.gov/lgb" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Long Beach Airport</a> (LGB). This is a great option for guests traveling domestically. LGB is about 20 minutes from Hotel Maya and the other recommended hotels below (see "Where to stay"). For our international guests: You'll likely find the best deals and flight options by flying into <a href="https://www.flylax.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Los Angeles International Airport</a> (LAX). The route to/from LAX is famous for its traffic so you'll want to be mindful of that during your travels. <a href="https://www.flylax.com/lax-traffic-and-ground-transportation" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Public transportation</a> is available but, unfortunately, we don't have the best connections after you get out of the airport. Taking the train will take a couple of hours and multiple transfers through less pleasant parts of LA -- we highly recommend taking a more direct mode of transportation (i.e., shuttle, car rental, Lyft/Uber). Where to stay

Hotel Maya will be our home base for all events during the weekend. We highly recommend reserving your stay to facilitate joining all events. There are, of course, other hotels in the area. Tux vs. Suit: What's the Difference?

Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie, while ladies can opt for a floor-length gown, long cocktail dress, or dressy separates. In honor of our celebration, we invite you to wear your favorite vibrant, joyful colors. Feathers, sequins, ruffles and anything that makes you feel fabulous are highly encouraged!

Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be in a Catholic Church. Out of respect to the sanctity of the Church we ask that, for the ceremony, you please wear attire that covers your chest, shoulders and anything above the knees. You can do this by planning to wear a shawl, wrap, or cardigan to cover up during the ceremony.

The Aquarium of the Pacific is one of our favorite places. It is Southern California's largest aquarium and features the world's largest indoor coral reef. While you're there, you can visit shops and restaurants along <a href="https://shorelinevillage.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Shoreline Village</a>, only a few blocks away (within walking distance).

April is a great month for whale watching! Gray and Humpback Whales&nbsp;are typically heading north this time of year, so you're very likely to catch one on the cruise! Other marine life you may spot: dolphins,&nbsp;sea lions, and pelicans! You'll definitely want to book this ahead of time!

Disneyland is about a thirty-minute drive from Long Beach and a great way to spend the day!

Another park option that is very close to Long Beach and very So. Cal is Knott's Berry Farm. Knott's has fun roller coasters and is known as "America's first theme park".

Universal Studios Hollywood aka "The Entertainment Capital of LA" is another incredible option! It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood film studios that is still in use.
